Questions and short answers

Put a question word at the beginning, followed by a suitable verb. A yes/no question can retain statement order with question intonation and a question mark. Give a short reply, then a complete sentence.

Who, what, where

Cine asks about a person, ce about a thing, unde about a place, and de unde about origin. Match the verb to the subject.

Who is here?

Unde este biletul?

Where is the ticket?

De unde sunteți?

How and yes/no

Cum means how. For yes/no, say Da / Nu and then a clear sentence: Da, am un bilet. or Nu, nu am un bilet.
